Guilmet, France, mystery clock, blue gray variegated marble case with lion mask handles and Empire style gilt feet, surmounted by an associated patinated female figure, her left hand held aloft, and suspending the pendulum, impulsed through the nearly imperceptible movement of the gilt base on which the she stands, gilt Roman numeral engine turned dial, blued steel hands, 8 day time and strike movement with crank and stirrup escapement, back plate with Guilmets mark and numbered 1286

mounts dirty and with loss to gilding, ornament originally attached to base missing, small chip to marble, rear left, dial and hands dirty, figure not original, pendulum dirty and with interior chip, runs and strikes, bell missing
